Quality
and Process
Our Process
Carnes Landeiro produce is characterised by the rigorous selection process used for all raw materials.
A significant portion of the meat sold comes from our own farm. Located in an area measuring approximately 30 hectares, we produce all the fodder ourselves to feed about 700 cattle, mainly of which are Charolais, purchased from national breeders.
As a company, we have pork and beef cutting and deboning lines, with all processed products produced in traditional (firewood) smokehouses and/or electric drying ovens.
Carnes Landeiro is exclusively responsible for distributing all products using our properly equipped fleet, which allows us to deliver quickly, thus ensuring all the quality and freshness of all our products is maintained.
Safety and environmental management conditions have always been of paramount importance in the company’s internal policy, through which we have gained our customers’ full trust.
Quality, Food Safety
and Certifications
A certified company since 2003, Carnes Landeiro has always sought to grow to meet to the demands and needs of its customers. To do so, ensuring strict control is maintained of all raw materials and processes is absolutely essential. In 2016, here at Carnes Landeiro we felt the need to provide our customers with even further proof of our concern for the safety and quality of our products. This led to us gaining a FSSC 22000 certification as part of a Scheme for Food Safety Management Systems, based on recognised standards that were assessed and approved by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative).
Though quality is our main concern, here at Carnes Landeiro we also want to do our bit for the environment, which is why we have made a commitment to sustainable development, improving processes and raising awareness of the importance and need to reduce the consumption of natural resources, electricity and waste production, as well as wastewater treatment and reuse.
